The countdown timer at the top right of the screen shows the time remaining. When it reaches zero the quiz ends by itself — you do not have to submit it yourself.
The Question Palette on the right of the screen shows the status of every question using one of these symbols:
1Not Visited — you have not opened this question yet.
2Not Answered — you have opened the question but have not answered it.
3Answered — you have answered the question.
4Marked for Review — you have not answered the question but have marked it to look at again.
5Answered and Marked for Review — this question will be evaluated.
Marking a question for review is only a reminder to yourself. It has no effect on how the question is evaluated.
The counts beside each symbol update as you work, so you can see at a glance how many questions remain.
Navigating to a question
To move to a question, do any one of the following:
Click the question number in the Question Palette to go straight to that question.
Click Save & Next to save your answer and move to the next question.
Click Mark for Review & Next to save your answer, flag the question and move on.
Use the left and right arrow keys to step between questions.
Moving to another question saves whatever you have entered. Nothing is lost when you navigate away.
Answering a question
For a multiple choice question:
Click the option you want, or press the key 1, 2, 3 or 4.
To change your answer, click another option.
To remove your answer, click Clear Response.
For a numerical question:
Use the on-screen keypad, or type the digits on your keyboard.
The answer must be a non-negative integer. Press Backspace or use ⌫ to correct a digit.
Clear Response empties the box completely.
To revisit a question you have already answered, select it from the palette and answer it again in the same way.
Moving between sections
The subjects appear on the bar below the timer, and the sections of the selected subject appear on the bar beneath it. Click a name to view the questions in it.
You may move between subjects, sections and questions freely at any time within the 90 minutes.
The legend above the Question Palette always reflects the whole quiz, so you can track your progress across both subjects.
